Piatt County leads in soybeans

The leader in Illinois soybean production is Piatt County.

Figures released by USDA show Piatt as the top producer in 2020, averaging 70.5 bushels per acre during the last harvest season. Piatt was the third largest producer in the country.

The county has been the state’s most productive in soybeans four times in the past decade.
