Barn Keepers to meet

BLOOMINGTON – The annual membership meeting of the McLean County Barn Keepers is planned for Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.
A short business meeting will be conducted before the planned program at the Evergreen FS Building on Hershey in Bloomington. Board member Bill Kemp will present the program on cattle and hog driving in Central Illinois. Before railroads, farmers marched livestock to market as far away as Chicago and Cincinnati. Isaac Funk and other livestock farmers lived to tell the tale.
The free program is open to the public and those attending are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
Barn Keepers is a McLean County-based non profit organization promoting the restoration, preservation and repurposing of old barns.
