State convention moving online

This year’s scheduled State FFA Convention is moving to an online format.

The June 9-11 event will mark achievements with state FFA officers, members, families and advisers. Also, some award winners will be recognized online in July with those dates not officially determined yet.

Illinois Farm Bureau’s Farm Week Now website reports leaders felt the new state officers needed to be elected in June in order to provide the proper training during the summer months. Various events, including the retiring state officer speeches, will take place over several dates in July.
