USMCA vote coming soon
An agreement has reportedly been reached at the U.S., Canada and Mexico to replace NAFTA, or the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Reuters reported this week that the three countries agreed to a new overhaul of the trade agreement after changes were made to a preliminary deal which was reached last year. This deal still needs approval of lawmakers in all of the countries involved.
The new deal adds more oversight to labor provisions which were demanded by U.S. Democrats. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the changes made this a better deal than one struck between the Trump Administration, Mexico and Canada last year.
