Compeer donates to U of I
The Compeer Fund for Rural America from Compeer Financial has presented $50,000 to the University of Illinois in support of FarmDoc and the 4-H program in the state.
This fund is designed to support agriculture in rural communities.
“We talk about Compeer as championing the hopes and dreams of rural America and of course we are financing farmers all across the territory we cover in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota,” said Rod Hebrink, president and CEO of Compeer.
Hebrink said the Compeer Fund is part of the corporate citizenship it has as an organization and they offer support to groups like 4-H, FFA and youth scholarships. They also support rural fire and rescue departments.
“People can go to www.compeer.com to look up the fund and we have applications for grants throughout the year.”
Compeer is part of the Farm Credit system, financing and working with 43,000 clients across three states. The company has 1,200 employees and 45 offices across the region.
