Grain handling on the mind
BLOOMINGTON – A new grain handling product line from Brandt Agricultural Products was displayed during the recent Farm Progress Show in Decatur.
The company has a new harvest belt for bin loading at harvest time.
“It’s a conveyor belt that’s 125 feet long,” explained Curt Borys, the company’s product planner for grain handling.
The swing away unit helps maximize unloading time. Many of the visitors to the Farm Progress Show were impressed with the size of units on display.
“Brandt has always prided itself on capacity, speed and efficiency,” said Borys.
Brandt had its new XT grain cart parked nearby. This holds 1500 bushels on tires and is part of the company’s new product development strategy of seeking input from customers on what they look for in a grain cart.
“Moving forward, it is going to replace our current XR series,” noted Brandt’s Taylor DeGoijer.
Features of the new grain cart include good cleanout every time, an optional hydraulic jack stand, a four direction spout with locking valve and joystick controls.
The Brandt Group of Companies is headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan and employs over 1800 people serving markets in Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia. The company has a plant in Bloomington-Normal.
