Spring turkey harvest up

Hunters in Illinois harvested over 15,000 wild turkeys during the spring hunting season.

This is higher than last year's total of 13,500. Totals were revealed earlier in the week by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The preliminary state total is 15,189 which includes over 1,000 birds taken during the youth turkey season.
