Farm seminar set for Feb. 27

BLOOMINGTON - A three-seminar event for farmland owners is planned for Feb. 27 at the Holiday Inn and Suites across from the Bloomington airport.

Discussion topics include how owners avoid probate for their estate, how trusts are used in estate planning, choosing a trustee, grain markets and farm leasing trends. The event is hosted by First Mid Ag Services (formerly Soy Capital Ag Services) and Ritchie Law Office, Ltd.

Attendees will have the chance to connect with various ag-related professionals before the seminars being and between each presentation in the areas of financing, accounting, management and estate planning.
