Summer food program launches

A summer food program for low-income families with school age children has been launched in Illinois.

The EBT program will provide support to children who are economically disadvantaged during the summer months and will provide $120 to low-income families for meals.

This EBT program is the first of its kind in Illinois in more than 50 years.
