Operation Care package underway

PONTIAC – You have until the end of the day this Thursday, Nov. 18, to donate items toward Operation Care Package at the Livingston County Farm Bureau office in Pontiac.

The Farm Bureau is collecting items to be sent to military troops in time for the holidays and monetary donations are being accepted as well. Checks should be made payable to Operation Care Package and items can be dropped off at 901 West Howard Street in Pontiac.

Non-food ideas include soap, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, hand warmers, sewing kits, batteries, pencils and puzzles. Food ideas include hot chocolate packets, canned tuna or chicken, granola bars, fruit snacks, instant oatmeal, Easy Mac packets and Christmas candy.
