Expo hopes to be back

Following a two-year absence, World Pork Expo is back on track for the year.

The 2021 expo is planned for June 9-11 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. World Pork Expo was cancelled in 2019 due to the spread of African Swine Fever and then the coronavirus pandemic forced the event to be called off in 2020.

The National Pork Producers Council continues to monitor the latest on COVID-19 guidelines for the health and safety of all expo participants. Appropriate precautionary measures will be implemented to ensure a good experience.

NPPC President Jen Sorenson said she looks forward to connecting with fellow producers, business partners and others contributing to pork production.

Registration details are expected to be announced soon online for those wanting to attend the 2021 World Pork Expo.
