Pork on the state fairgrounds

If you are craving a pork chop on a stick this summer, you’ll still have the chance to enjoy one even though there is no Illinois State Fair.

The Illinois Pork Producers Association has announced it will open the Pork Patio for lunch on August 14 and 21, serving the chops along with pork burgers – their two top sellers each year. Serving starts at 11 a.m. both days until they run out.

Food will be served under the Commodities Pavilion across from the grandstand. IPPA asks guests to consider wearing a face mask and social distance while waiting in line. There will be limited seating offered at the patio or you can grab the food to go.
