Plenty of technology options available

CHATSWORTH – Area farmers will have the chance to get a little smarter before heading to the fields this spring.

Nu-Ag Technology of Chatsworth will host a product training event and technology open house on Wednesday, March 4 located at 32528 E. 835 North Road on the west end of town.

“We’ll have representatives from Ag Leader and DigiFarm talking about RTK service, representatives from Soil Max talking drainage and the staff will be around to answer any questions,” said Nu-Ag’s Tim McGreal.

Since other farmers in the room may have similar questions, the meeting will be an open forum. It is perfect for anyone needing training.

“We can kind of specialize that to what you need for that day.”

Ag Leader just announced at the recent Louisville Farm Show that they were venturing into the high-speed planting market. More information will be revealed during the Nu-Ag meeting on these types of products.

Nu-Ag Technology sells precision agriculture equipment with Ag Leader being the main focus along with the Soil Max tile plows.

“We can also tie into that elevation surveys and tile design,” explained McGreal.

Several thousand acres of tile design has been done by Nu-Ag’s J.D. Skaggs, an excellent way to get started with your own drainage. Last year included a really good fall season for drainage products, as drainage was fresh in everyone’s mind with all of the excess moisture of 2019.

“Guys seemed to find time to make it happen,” added McGreal.

McGreal is hopeful for a safe and productive spring season with not as many planting delays as last year.
