Dr. Ford to address LCSWCD

PONTIAC – The Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) will hold its 75th Annual Meeting on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 8am to 10am at the Pontiac Elk’s Lodge.

A breakfast buffet will be available at 8am, followed by a brief business meeting, election of three Directors and the presentation of conservation awards. This year, they are honoring the Conservation Farm Family and will also be recognizing others with Conservation Partner awards.

Dr. Trent Ford will be speaking on, “What’s Up With This Weather”. Dr. Ford is a native of Roanoke, Illinois and was selected for the State Climatologist position this past August.

Tickets for the breakfast are $10.00 and may be obtained through the District Office. Please reserve your tickets by Thursday, January 16th. There will be no ticket sales at the door. If you have any questions about the event, call 815-844-6127, Ext. 3.
