Hog & Pig survey results

The National Ag Statistics Service has released results of the Quarterly Hog and Pig survey.

The state’s hog inventory on March 1 was 5.2 million head, down 2 percent from last year. Breeding hog inventory at 560,000 head was up 2 percent from the previous year. Market hog inventory was at 4.64 million head, down from last year.
