Business caters to small farmers

At a time when many seed companies have been bought out and no longer cater to the small livestock farmer, one company still does.

Hoover’s Farm Supply, based in Williamsport, Indiana, offers a line of seed for livestock.

“We also handle livestock equipment,” explains Glen Hoover.

The business is only a few miles from the Illinois/Indiana line so it is a natural fit for the business to cater to farmers around here as well.

“People ask a lot of questions and that’s what we are here for. We enjoy that.”

Hoover’s Farm Supply was among the ag exhibitors at this year’s Midwest Ag Expo at the Gordyville USA facility near Gifford.
