Final deer numbers are in

Illinois deer hunters had better luck out in the field this past season compared to previous years.

Officials with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources have released the final numbers for all of the firearm and archery deer seasons. Hunters bagged 151,577 deer during the 2018-19 season. This is better than the 147,695 total from the previous season.
