Topsoil moisture supply was rated at 1 percent very short, 4 percent short, 89 percent adequate, and 6 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated at 1 percent very short, 10 percent short, 83 percent adequate, and 6 percent surplus.
Corn harvested was at 89 percent, compared to 71 percent last year. Soybean harvest was 86 percent complete, compared to 85 percent last year. Sorghum harvested was at 86 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 75 percent. Winter wheat planted was at 74 percent, compared to 75 percent last year.
Winter wheat emerged was at 50 percent, compared to 52 percent last year. Winter wheat condition was 4 percent very poor, 5 percent poor, 25 percent fair, 58 percent good, and 8 percent excellent.
