Farm Assets Conference Nov. 20
NORMAL – The 2018 Farm Assets Conference from Illinois Public Media is planned for Tuesday, Nov. 20 at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Normal.
Discussion will focus on the commodity markets, the farm economy and price of farmland. Market analysts include Pete Manhart, Bill Mayer, Merrill Crowley, Wayne Nelson and Todd Hubbs.
The day will open with a session on the supply chain and how large corporations are reaching all the way through the supply chain to the farmer. Panelists will project what the next five to 10 years may look like on Illinois farms and discuss how it impacts decisions to get bigger and what it means to stay medium-sized.
