BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Association for Home and Community Education (HCE) continues to provide educational opportunities and promote leadership abilities after 100 years.
The local HCE still offers different educational programs each month through the University of Illinois. An annual meeting was held in July which went very well.
“We have been in eight parades and we have one more to go,” said HCE member Cindy Kelley. “We’ve had a float in each one.”
Kelley served as co-chair of this year’s Young at Heart event at the McLean County Fair which included activities for senior citizens and informational booths. All ages were involved as this year’s fair royalty even assisted.
