GCMS to hold scholarship auction

GIBSON CITY – The annual GCMS scholarship auction is planned for this Saturday (Feb. 24), with a silent auction from 11-1 and the live auction beginning at 12:30.

“We have many gift baskets, a toolbox, multiple gift cards, battery charger and much more,” said GCMS FFA Reporter Paige Shelton.

A donation lunch will be also be held from 11-1 in the high school commons area featuring smoked pork loin and various sides.

Members of the local FFA have been busy going around town and seeking donations from businesses and individuals. The GCMS chapter is holding various themed days this week for National FFA Week.

“We have blue and gold day, truck and tractor day, redneck day and flannel Friday,” explained FFA Secretary Ashlyn McPherson.
