The Livingston County Farm Bureau, WJEZ Radio and The Central Illinois Farm Network are hosting a Livingston County Candidate Forum on Tuesday, February 27 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Eagle Theatre at 319 N Plum St, Pontiac, IL 61764.

The candidates for County Sheriff, County Clerk and County Treasurer have been invited to participate. They will have the opportunity to give their insight into the key issues involving the county and how they would address those issues.

Todd Wineburner will serve as moderator for the event. The County Clerk candidate will begin at 6:30 pm. The candidate for County Treasurer will immediately follow. Following that will be the candidates for County Sheriff. Each candidate, in ballot order, will have up to 3 minutes for an opening statement. Following, there will be a series of questions presented by the moderator. Following the questions, each candidate will be given up to 3 minutes for a closing statement.

We ask that questions be submitted before the event. The committee for the event will approve all questions to ensure it is a fair forum. We will also provide notecards at the event to be given to the committee. All questions should be submitted to Jody Hughes at the Farm Bureau at or (815) 842-1103.
