Beck's PFR site relocating

DOWNS - The Beck's Hybrids Practical Farm research site near Downs will be relocating to El Paso this spring.

A consolidation of the facilities is expected to give farmers more training and education. The current research location at Downs conducts research on yield increases and plant health among other things. Around 80 acres will be used for research at El Paso during the coming season.

The Downs site, which consists of 165 acres, was sold to a German ag equipment company. The Atlanta, Indiana-based Beck's Hybrids is family owned.
