Thanksgiving dinner price lower
The price of this year’s Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper compared to last year.
In fact, if you plan to feed 10 people, you will pay the lowest price since 2013 and second lowest since 2011, according to the annual survey conducted by the American Farm Bureau Federation. The 32nd annual price survey showed an average cost of $49.12, compared to $49.87 in 2016.
Food with the largest decreases includes: rolls, milk, sweet potatoes, peas and pie shells. Meanwhile, items like bread stuffing, pumpkin pie mix and whipped cream increased modestly.
The informal survey meal items include sweet potatoes, turkey, stuffing, rolls with butter, peas, cranberries, coffee, milk, pumpkin pie with whipped topping and a veggie tray.
