30 goats and counting

FISHER – Of the almost 50 goats at the Fisher Fair on Friday, 30 belonged to Cyrus Cook of Onarga.

“It’s like eating potato chips – you just can’t have one,” Cook said prior to the fair goat show.

Cook attends a number of shows just about every weekend during the summer. He also attends fairs each year in Iroquois, Kankakee and Ford counties along with the Fairbury Fair in August.

Cook especially enjoys the Fisher event.

“I come with my friends and we have some fun.”

According to Cook, an hour of prep work is required for each goat, which includes washing and clipping the animals.
