FBFM meeting planned in Bloomington
The annual meeting of the Pioneer Farm Business Farm Management Association (FBFM) is scheduled for Wednesday, March 29 at the Asmark Institute in Bloomington.
Coffee and donuts will be available starting at 9 a.m. with the meeting starting at 9:30. An amendment to the present bylaws governing Pioneer FBFM is on the agenda for a vote. The new board of directors will organize, elect officers and conduct the quarterly Pioneer FBFM board meeting in the afternoon.
The Pioneer FBFM Association is entering its 94th year. There are 12 cooperator directors representing cooperators in 12 field staff areas, which cover the counties of McLean, Tazewell, Woodford, Livingston and Ford. Each director serves a two-year term with a maximum of four terms. The 12 directors make up a decision-making board which meets four times a year and more often when pressing issues must be dealt with, such as interviewing applicants to fill vacant field staff openings.
