GCMS auction helps seniors

GIBSON CITY – You can add Gibson City to your list of FFA destinations this weekend.
The GCMS FFA chapter will hold its annual scholarship auction Saturday (Feb. 25) to help the school’s outgoing seniors.
“We just try and get as many items as we can to raise money for that,” explained FFA secretary Shelby Butler.
A pork loin meal will be served at the high school starting at 12:30 along with the silent auction. The live auction begins at 1 and will include some interesting handmade wood products.
“Saturday morning, we will all have to come in early and setup for everything and get the meal prepared,” said FFA member Jessica Mueller. “During the week, we just go through the items and make sure we have everything.”
