County wheat estimates announced

County estimates for winter wheat in 2016 have been released for Illinois.

For McLean County, the area planted is 1,300 acres; harvested area is 1,250 acres with an average yield per acre of 82.4. Livingston County’s planted area is 5,800; harvested area is 5,650 with an average yield of 76.8.

Other counties in the central region totaled 4,300 acres for planted area; 3,930 harvested acres with an average yield of 86.3.
