McLean Fair has plenty of livestock
BLOOMINGTON - Swine numbers are up slightly and goats continue to grow at the McLean County Fair.
"Horses are down a little bit, just because we had probably 10 horse exhibitors age out of 4-H last year," explained McLean County Fair Manager Mike Swartz.
Sheep are holding their own at 169. Also, the rabbit and poultry numbers are slowly growing at 5-10 per year.
"We're very fortunate. You talk to other county fairs and they may be struggling to keep up the numbers, but we have a wonderful McLean County that supports the 4-H Fair."
The 2016 McLean County Fair runs through Sunday at the McLean County Fairgrounds west of Bloomington on Route 9.
